I am a print and web designer based in London who enjoys creating custom solutions for clients of all shapes and sizes.

I am an energetic and social individual who enjoys working both in a team environment and autonomously to deliver creative solutions.

Having been in and around the design industry for 10 years I have gained a wealth of project management experience and a high success in delivering projects to time line and within budget.

The results are gained through my understanding of key design, digital and print processes together with a variety of computer software. My most recent role incorporated design, client liaison and account management, as well as common design extras such as print management & training of staff.

  2. Branding designed for a youth oriented clothing shop that is centred on the Surf, Ski & Skate area of urban fashion.

The design is based around elemental colours such as the deep yellows and dark oranges representing the summer season and the surfing area of the shop.
I continued this theme throughout the artwork, finished up with the three main colours of yellow, blue and green.

Each one represents a different area of the business and also one of the seasonal sports. The design is then finished off with the large geometric ‘M’ logotype, which us designed to incorporate the urban feel to the shop as well as having the ability to be used on other material without the typeface, i.e. - stickers, skateboards, t-shirts etc.

  3. The promoters of this venue came to me with the idea for their nightclub, whose target audience is the young upscale market of Dubliners.

With this in mind I designed the logo around a very regal design mixed with a modern sans-serif font. Everything was kept very minimalist to convey the feeling of exclusivity.

The main print was the stationary suite with compliment slips being replaced with invitations to the exclusive club night and the matching envelopes with inside print in the deep wine colour. Upon presentation the guest would receive a branded plastic membership card.

  4. A brochure for Lisney Estate Agents for a new build of luxury apartments in the exclusive Foxrock area of South Dublin.

To really drive home the exclusiveness of the area the brochure was printed on a heavy silk with a spot UV of the logo on the cover.

Distinguishing features were the colour coordinated floor plans. Each one re-drawn from the architects plans to tie in the whole brochure seamlessly.

  5. This was a project for of a music promoter and record collector. It was for a small record store that was mainly aimed at collectors, but did not want to be too exclusive as to scare off new customers.

I kept the design basic with the circular logotype being used on posters and other applications.

To drive the record shop look and feel home, I put in little touches of imagery such as the grayscale fade of records on the letterheads and compliment slips.

  6. This was a project for an established bridal fashion studio and long-term client. It was to be used as a showcase of work and also as sales manual for potential buyers.

The design is very simple and elegant, printed on heavy card and wire bound. Each double page spread starts with a photo of a dress followed be a semi-transparent divider page to communicate elegance with subtle references to a wedding album.

As an accompaniment to the brochure there was an interactive CD supplied at the back of the brochure. Every CD contained hi-res images and a digital version of the brochure for buyers to use on their own websites or sales merchandise.

  8. To coincide with the refurbishment of Dublin’s most famous café we were commisioned to produce a new table top brochure. Boasting a rich cultural and architectural heritage, and being at the heart of the Dublin’s shopping district the brochure was to show the importance of not only the building but its eighty plus years of history to the city.

The brochure being 21cm X 21cm was print to a very high standard and used spot UV as well as matte laminate finishing.

This mixed with the layout of well written copy and very high quality photography gave the perfect accompaniment to an afternoon or evening in the prestigious café.

  11. This was a large government project to re-introduce the National Age Card to Ireland. The previous version being dated and having poor security features were in need of a drastic overhaul.

The objective was to revitalise this identity card so that it would not only be functional but also security heavy. The card at the time of going to print was the most secure in Europe, with many of the security features being designed by myself.

The card had many technologies built in that the design would a have to work around, mainly the holograms and transparent panel which the date of birth of the holder would be embossed on to.

Along with the card were other printed materials such as press release packs for the launch which included samples of the card, security feature layouts and an interactive CD with hi-res print ready imagery for the different papers and websites. There was also a smaller pack designed for retailers, which consisted of posters and spec sheets to familiarise them with the security features.

  12. ADC Plasticard required designs for a multitude of work from sales brochures, plastic cards to promotional material.

As a European leader in plastic card printing and always on the top of technology in the printing industry ADC required designs that would show their creativity, competitiveness and structured layout to their company.

As most of their printing is done in-house they wanted to be able to show off there work in the designs. With this in mind the designs were laid out to showcase die cutting and print finishing such as matte lamination.

  15. This was a complete re-brand for a well established security company. They requested a look that was modern and contemporary and instantly recognisable as a security company.

  16. Based in the busy night time area of Temple Bar in Dublin the late night restaurant and take away wanted branding the would stand out and attract the late night food merchant.

Because of the late business hours I based all of the designs around being straight to the point with large imagery of the food. As there was a need for advertising I came up with the idea of printing large format poster to be put up at the main Luas and bus stops. These were covered in a heavy laminate to make them water tight and re-usable.

  18. A small public relations company working from both London and Dublin.

With the design I made the most out of the title having split across the front and back of the print work with one side reversed out.

As the client requested yellow as a predominant colour and know the issues that can come with the printing of some yellow colours, especially as the client requested imagery for printing that would be compatible with their Microsoft Office Suite.

I approached them with this more subtle golden tone that as it was more print friendly, especially as they would be doing a large number of their desktop printing in-house.

Arveene approached me with the idea of releasing a compilation disc. What emerged was a four disc limited edition release. Knowing of his loyal following, the artwork was drawn up as a volume one to four layout, re-using the basic layout with different colures representing each volume and a separate image used for each disc and backing inlay.
